This smoothie was inspired by 2 things I love: fresh guavas and vegan green goddess salad dressing!  And the name is fitting here, since guavas are little superfruit superstars that can help keep us looking and feeling our best.

Guavas are very nutrient-dense since they are low in calories but rich in vitamins, minerals and even protein.  They are also a wonderful source of natural astringents, fibre, antioxidants and lycopene.  As a result, guavas provide numerous potential health benefits for the immune system, heart, eyes, gastrointestinal tract, brain, and skin.

For 2 servings, blend together until smooth:

  • 1.5 cups unsweetened coconut water

  • 1 cup fresh diced guava

  • 1/2 cup canned organic coconut milk*

  • 1/4 ripe avocado

  • juice from 1/2 lemon (or adjust to taste)

  • handful of fresh mint

  • 1 tsp chlorella powder

  • 1 tsp matcha powder

  • pure stevia or raw honey (nonvegan) to sweeten as desired

Sprinkle with sesame seeds (optional) and serve!

*Notes: For a lighter shake, replace the coconut milk with additional coconut water.
