Pears contain beneficial phytochemicals including anti-inflammatory and anti-aging flavonoids and cancer-fighting polyphenols.
Here pear pairs beautifully with dates and warm spices to make a smoothie fit for a diva!
For 2 servings, blend together until smooth:
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 to 2 ripe pears (use 2 for a more pronounced pear flavour)
2 to 4 pitted Medjool dates (adjust to desired taste & sweetness)

2 Tbsp chia seeds or gluten-free flaxseed meal

pinch each of ground cardamom, nutmeg and black pepper
sweeten with dates alone or add pure stevia, maple syrup, or sweetener of choice as desired
