Orange, pumpkin and hemp seeds combine beautifully to make this super tasty & nutritious shake! It’s packed with vitamins & minerals, antioxidants, fibre, healthy fats, protein and adaptogens for a true breakfast of champions!

Pumpkin is incredibly nutrient dense.  A cup of mashed pumpkin has only 50 calories but delivers loads of vitamins and minerals — including 200% of your recommended daily intake of vitamin A and more potassium than a banana! — and anti-aging, disease-fighting antioxidants.  Because it is low-calorie and fibre-rich (3 grams/cup), pumpkin helps you to feel full and is a great choice for healthy weight control.

For 1 serving, blend together until smooth:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/2 to 1 cup diced fresh oranges

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 2 Tbsp pure pumpkin purée (adjust to taste)

  • 1 Tbsp almond butter

  • 2 Tbsp shelled gluten-free hemp seeds

  • 1 tsp gelatinized maca powder (optional)

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom

  • 1/8 tsp turmeric powder

  • pinch each of nutmeg and black pepper

  • optional pure maple syrup or stevia to sweeten to taste

  • optional ice to make cold and frothy

And for coffee lovers - try adding a shot of espresso and some ice!  Sprinkle with ground cinnamon or cacao as desired and serve.
